Insanity Asylum, Vol. 2: A study in psychological horror from the ancient greeks with a modern day twist is a full-length novel written by author Jeffrey Zygmunt. The story starts off when Daniel Bright is found dead with his hands and feet amputated in an abandoned warehouse. The police have zero leads on the case and the only person they have to question is Dr. Luke Colton, a psychiatrist who was called to evaluate Daniel's sanity before he died. After a medical examiner reports that the remains found amongst refuse had been very carefully buried so as not to leave any trace of evidence behind, Dr. Colton sets out to the warehouse to investigate the crime scene. On his way he encounters researcher Dr. Kristine Binder, who seems very interested in his findings. What she knows is that Daniel was investigating something called "The Insanity Asylum" which supposedly was the site of a lunatic asylum that burned down in 1822 with no trace of what could have caused it.
